11th Rabies Vaccination Activity “Dog Island” Phutthamonthon

Talingchan Animal Hospital traveled to “Sandal Island”, Phutthamonthon, Salaya, Nakhon Pathom to vaccinate more than 500 dogs against rabies. “On September 18, 2024, Talingchan Animal Hospital traveled to “Sandal Island” to vaccinate more than 500 dogs under its care against rabies, led by Dr. Kanokphan Chotikavanich (Dr. Tik) and Dr. Thitikorn Eksirirat (Dr. Sun), along with assistants and staff from Talingchan Animal Hospital who came to help vaccinate on Sunal Island today.” “This activity is something that Talingchan Animal Hospital has been doing consistently, and this year is the 11th year that the hospital has come to help Sunal Island.” “On October 23, 2024,” after Talingchan Animal Hospital organized a rabies vaccination activity for the dogs, we traveled to donate additional food and medicine to the dogs so that they can have a better quality of life.

Little Butter donates blood, a hospital hero

“น้องบัต”, a 4-year-old Labrador retriever, our hospital hero, has donated blood to Dr. Kukkai for the 10th time. He is extremely healthy. Currently, there is a high demand for dog and cat blood. Therefore, Talingchan Animal Hospital has opened a blood bank unit to save the lives of pets that need blood and to help them survive the crisis of various diseases that require blood for treatment. We invite you to apply for a dog and cat blood donation membership. Talingchan Animal Hospital is accepting dog members to donate blood regularly every 3 months with the blood bank unit to help dogs that need blood. Those who want their dogs and cats to donate blood can inform us of their intention to register to donate blood with the hospital’s blood bank unit according to the following qualifications. Qualifications for dogs that can donate blood1. Be in good health, strong, between 1-6 years old, have never received blood or had major surgery before2. Weigh 30 kilograms or more3. Have received continuous protection against ticks, fleas, and heartworms every 2 months4. Have received combined vaccinations and rabies vaccinations every year5. Not vaccinated within the past 2 weeks. 6. Females are not in heat, pregnant, lactating, or have had a miscarriage within the past 3 months. 7. Not suffering from a chronic disease such as liver, kidney, heart disease, cancer, or other infectious diseases. 8. Not taking antibiotics or anti-inflammatory drugs within the past 1 week. Cat qualifications that can donate blood 1. Be in good health, aged 1-7 years. 2. Weigh at least 4 kilograms. 3. Be healthy, eat normally, and defecate normally. 4. Receive continuous protection against ticks, fleas, and heartworms every month. 5. Receive combined vaccinations and rabies vaccinations every year. 6. Not vaccinated within the past 2 weeks. 7. Never received blood or had major surgery. 8. For females, they are not in heat, pregnant, lactating, or have had a miscarriage within the past 3 months. 9. Not suffering from a chronic disease such as liver, kidney, heart disease, cancer, or other infectious diseases. 10. Not taking antibiotics or anti-inflammatory drugs within the past 1 week. 11. I consent to the cat being sedated if necessary while donating blood. Benefits when donating blood 1. Dogs must receive annual vaccinations. Rabies vaccination at “Dog Island” Phutthamonthon

Rabies vaccination and dog food donation to more than 400 stray dogs on Dog Island. Talingchan Animal Hospital has vaccinated against rabies and donated dog food to more than 400 stray dogs on Dog Island, led by Dr. Kanokphan Chotikavanich (Dr. Tik) and Dr. Wichaporn Athikanont (Dr. Ae), along with staff from Talingchan Animal Hospital who came to help vaccinate the stray dogs on Dog Island today. Talingchan Animal Hospital has done this activity every year and this year is the 10th year that the hospital has come to help Dog Island. The money donated to Dog Island came from the donation box that the hospital had placed at the cashier, which the hospital’s customers made merit by joining in, so we would like to share the merit with all customers. Talingchan Animal Hospital would like to thank Zoetis (Thailand) Co., Ltd., Intervet (Thailand) Co., Ltd., Boehringer Ingelheim (Thailand) Co., Ltd. for supporting the rabies vaccine, and the park department.
